This Is What’s Keeping Your Sexy Photos & Videos From Being Shared

I get it. You’re a model or a dominatrix and you’re sharing content. You work hard on a photo or video, hit post, and it falls completely flat. Sad trombone.

There’s nothing quite so infuriating than spending time on content and have it get no attention at all. I’m a professional photographer and a professional in social marketing, so I’ve had this experience many times.

I’m also a keen observer of what other people are doing that’s keeping them from getting the engagement on photos and videos they deserve.

Here are a few thoughts on reasons why your photos and videos are not getting engagement.

It’s Not Quality

I’m sorry, but I see so much out there that’s poor quality. Some photos are blurry, either because of motion blur, or because of focus. Some photos are terrible because you’re using cheap equipment. Some media is terrible because you use a filter that puts stupid shit on it.

This is a quick checklist of things that will help with quality:

• Use great equipment – that means great cameras, great lighting, and great editing
• Keep things simple – don’t put anything on your photos or videos that detract from you
• Get someone to help – get a friend or a tripod that will hold your camera

You could always hire an expert to do your photos or videos. If you think that doesn’t matter, just take an honest look at the quality difference between professional productions and what people are producing on their old cell phone. When you’re ready to move to the next level, you’ll find an expert.

It’s Not Yours

Are you sharing stuff that’s not yours… like photos or videos or graphics or memes that someone else created? That’s not going to get you anywhere. People instinctually know if you’re trying to use someone else’s content, or worse, they have seen it before and it bores them.

You need to regularly be making new deep rich exciting original content. If you’re not, your Twitter or Tumblr feed is dying. Trust me. You’ll never get anywhere if you’re not hustling.
Create your own content and get it out there often.

You’re Not Sharing It Right

Are you tagging people? Are you using hashtags? Are you directly attempting to engage connectors? You should be doing all of these things and so much more.

If what you’re sharing is not getting re-shared then you need to start reaching out to people who have a wider audience than you and try to get their attention. Share other people’s stuff. Look at what’s similar to yours and see why they are getting shared. Be gracious and helpful. Do your homework.

Penis Softeners

Let’s assume for a moment that you have a professional model (cam model, entertainer) or dominatrix (findom) account that is designed to make you money. Why, oh why, would you purposely share something on that account that turns off your potential clients?

Here’s a short list of things that will kill the mood and keep you from making money and getting shared:

• Stupid filters that make you look goofy
• Photos or videos with boyfriends
• Photos or videos of food, your car, your uncle, Jesus statues, bugs, Justin Bieber… get it? (Stick with sexy content.)
• Photos of you wearing something ordinary… never be ordinary, let everyone else be ordinary
• Photos or videos that are too abstract

Your Focus Is On What You Want

I know you want money, or you want someone to send you gifts, or gift cards. There’s nothing wrong with that. But if that’s the content you’re sharing you’re missing the point.

My notifications for retweets are filled with photos and videos of money, receipts, plates of food, and stern admonition that you want slaves and clients to pay for all of that. The problem is that you’re making a classic marketing mistake.

Your focus needs to be on what your client or slave wants, not what you want.

If you post sexy photos or videos of YOU… you’ll get the money, the gift cards and the luxury nights out.

Once you begin to think like who you are marketing to, you’ll have whatever you want.
